Allied Arts is a community arts organization that serves more than 50,000 people annually through programs, events and services which focus on arts education, community arts events and supporting local artists.

Allied Arts is committed to innovative arts education programs in local schools that link professional artists, teachers, and students. Its education programs include anArtists in the Community catalog of workshops offered by local artists in visual and performing arts that is sent to area schools each fall so they can use the workshops in their curriculum. Another exciting arts education program, the Allied Arts Education Project, focuses on training teachers to incorporate the arts into their classrooms and encourages long-term artist residencies.

Allied Arts presents popular community arts events like the Holiday Festival of the Arts which features the work of more than 100 local artists, providing them a significant income source, and the Chalk Art Festival, which has been celebrated on the sidewalks of downtown Bellingham for 10 years and has become a local institution. Last year 209 artists created works of art all around downtown and several thousand spectators came down to watch the artists, enjoy live entertainment, and enjoy the arts and crafts fair new to this year's festival.

Allied Arts serves as a support network for emerging non-profit arts organizations such as the Bellingham Independent Music Association and the Whatcom Artist Studio Tour, enabling these organizations to begin seeking their own 501(c) 3 status as they mature.

Committed to connecting the community with local artists, Allied Arts presents monthly gallery exhibits in the Allied Arts Gallery at 1418 Cornwall Avenue, and is a key organizer of the Quarterly Downtown Gallery Walks and an annual Children's Gallery Walk. In gratitude for its nurture of the arts in Whatcom County, please support this organization.
