For more than 50 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County has been in the forefront of youth development in Whatcom County.
The Boys & Girls Club prides itself on providing a variety of programs for all youth, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, both economic and social.
BGCWC provides a positive outlet through its unique programming. Program features are based on physical, emotional, and social needs and interests. They offer young people what they need and want most: adults who respect and listen to them, and a safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves. The Club provides youths with citizen and leadership development, cultural enrichment, health and physical education, outdoor and environmental education, social recreation, and personal and educational development. As a result of program participation, youths receive strong positive role models, recognition, attention, a sense of belonging, and reinforcement for positive behavior. Additionally, boys and girls are provided with a sense of usefulness, opportunities to succeed, and a sense of competence. Providing positive alternatives for young people is essential to the future of Whatcom County.
The Boys & Girls Club continues to reach out into the community to serve additional youngsters by opening programs in schools, building new facilities, and improving old ones.
You can support the Clubs through program participation, serving as a volunteer, or making a personal contribution. You can be a positive influence in the future of our most valuable asset - our children. Invest in the future of Whatcom County - support the children of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
