Paysant Health Resources

Bellingham, WA 98225

Lauren Davies, Board President

Many low-income mental health clients have the capacity to completely recover but have been unable to do so due to limitations of the traditional mental healthcare system. Without the benefit of increased numbers of counseling sessions, adjunct services such as naturopathic medical care, and the option of treatment without psychiatric medication, many of these individuals remain dependent upon public financial assistance, are only partially recovered, and are unable to reach their full potential.

Paysant Health Resources, founded in 2001, awards grants for counseling and other mental health-related services to low-income individuals and families. Our provider list is comprised of over thirty licensed mental health counselors, naturopaths, massage practitioners, and acupuncturists.

Paysant Health Resources was created to affirm that, in many cases, complete recovery from mental and emotional disorders is possible and to offer hope and assistance to people of modest means who wish to pursue these alternative treatment choices.

This organization's vision for the future includes a mental healthcare delivery system in which participants are informed about treatment options and have the freedom to choose options that best meet their needs. That means a system that treats causes rather than symptoms and empowers and encourages clients to trust their own beliefs about what would be most beneficial to their recovery.

You can help this dream become a reality for our community.
